Job Description
Direct Report to – CEO
Main Function: To deliver volume growth and regional expansion, our client is looking for a high. caliber professional to crystalize the Group’s expansion plan in Thailand.
Role Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s operations within the country.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods through various transportation modes and logistics processes.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the country’s budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting the shipping industry in the country.
Business Development:
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company’s market share.
- build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, including operations, sales, and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer Servie:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer needs and resoling issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance standards,
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the shipping and logistics operations.
- Implement safety and security protocols.
Reporting:
- Provide regular reports to top management on the country’s performance, challenges and opportunities.
Qualification Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Liner shipping, specifically in the Thailand market (Main Line Operator/NVOCC/Freight Forwarder).
- A commitment to excellent customer service and passionate to deliver service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Thai & English.
- Result Oriented, high level of ownership and independent drive.
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook.
