SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW IN A MYANMAR JOB AGENCY IN MYANMAR

Jan 10, 2020

You have an appointment with one of our Asia HR consultants for an interview. The goal of the recruiter is to evaluate your skills, your attitude, your motivations but also to evaluate some constraints related to your personal situation (schedules, mobility, etc.).

Here are our 17 tips for a successful interview with a recruitment agency!

Before the interview

1- At home, train yourself to introduce yourself, to expose your journey by anticipating questions that may be asked and keeping a smile;

2- Prepare the documents you will present (CV, ID, proof of address of less than 3 months, etc.). Remember to have a pen, a notebook, and a briefcase;

3- Pay particular attention to your outfit, which you will have prepared and tested in advance. The recruiter will be sensitive to this effort and your ability to follow the
required professional dress codes;

4- Be punctual, not too early or late. The ideal is to arrive 10 minutes before the interview;

5- Turn off your mobile phone as soon as you arrive at the employment agency.

During the interview

You trained and cared yourself for your presentation; you are able to give the best of  yourself. Be confident and keep in mind that if the recruiter invites you to meet him, it means that your profile matches with a job opportunity.

6- Let the other person explain the different stages of the interview and wait until he gives you the floor;

7- Express yourself clearly and methodically;

8- Present your career by starting with your training and then details your professional experience, from the oldest to the most recent, focusing only on the most relevant
to the position for which you are there;

9- For all your experiences, describe the business sector of the company and its workforce. State the duration of your previous position as well as the type of contract, then detail the assignments that you have been assigned and the results obtained;

10- Explain simply why you left, without denigrating the company, your former colleagues and your superiors. Stay positive and expose only what each past experience has brought you;

11- Answer the questions by illustrating your answers with concrete examples that value you, while remaining honest;

12- Explain what motivates you to apply (missions, company, industry, etc.);

13- Be curious! Ask the recruiter about the job, the position, your further colleague, the salary, etc. … and take notes;

14- Be prepared that after this exchange, the consultant will submit you to a test. This is not automatic and it will depend on the position for which you are applying;

15- End the interview by thanking the recruiter for receiving you.
